Discover-e 2011
This years online conference is being held on the 17Th and 18Th of May. This looks to be packed with case studies best practice and information from the RSC West Midlands Learning Providers. The conference sessions will be delivered through webinar software Elluminate. All conference and fringe sessions will be run through Moodle. We are hoping to have several of the JISC services available to help you navigate your way through what each service does and how they can help you.

I've attended the online conference for several years with varying amounts of participation depending on work circumstances. It's always more enjoyable and you get more out it when you can participate fully but whatever your level of participation, you always get lots of new learning from the community of the conference. One of the benefits is that you can drop in and out of the sessions but the downside can be that you might miss something really good! I would encourage everyone to book time into their diaries over these two days - I have and I am going to try and attend more sessions than I did last year. Attend away from the office if you can as if you were actually going to a physical venue but with the benefit of home comforts. If you can't then put a 'do not disturb' notice on your office door! - at least for some of the time. I look forward to 'meeting' everyone online :-).
